C - Cafe Latte

A must-eat if you are in St. Paul! This bakery/gourmet deli serves up an array of delicious eats! The best part is there is so much to choose from that even picky eaters won't turn away an invitation.

This place is located at the corner of Victoria and Grand Avenue in a quaint little row of shops, something fun to frequent with friends on a night out or with a parent or grandparent on a sunny weekend.

Don't miss the: Classic Vanilla Cheesecake, it is made from scratch daily and is topped with creme fresh and strawberries so big you'd swear they were fake.

Skip the: salad bar - specifically the homemade pasta salad and bean salad, unless those are your favorite things to eat, there are sooooo many better choices not to miss!

A is for Al Vento

Thanks Mary for starting us out right! I have never been to Al Vento but have heard many great things. Ironically enough, I think they also do a great job of marketing because every time I call Free 411, Al Vento is suggested as a "similar restaurant" to whatever I am looking for. I did find it funny one night as I was trying to locate the number for the nearest Jimmy John's...

Help me create my Minnesota Restaurants A to Z!

So, as my last posting mentioned I'm really hoping to create a review of restaurants from A-Z (my pocketbook can only handle one restaurant per letter though...FYI...) and I'm looking forward to you and your friends (or family, you choose!) help me select restaurants for this list. I will post the reviews as I experience the restaurants throughout the year and look forward to compiling the list at the end of the year with their respective reviews for everyone to enjoy!

Who's got a good one for A? Oh, another "rule" if you will, I am looking for restaurants I have never been to.

New Year's resolution

So I'm guessing you're probably wondering (or, maybe not!) where this blog went this year as I claimed (similar to my eighth grade diary) that I would write it religiously everyday. Well, I'm back, and now that I've ingested some technogeek meds, I can actually log in and post correctly! THANK GOD.

I definitely welcome any comments, preferably positive in nature, although the negative ones can create quite enjoyable witter banter as well. I'm truly hoping that you can share this blog with others around the world and we can create a fantastic list of great restaurants to share (along with menu selections as well.)

First task, a list of restaurants A-Z in Minnesota (I'm not limiting it to just the Twin Cities because I'm sure there's got to be one or two outside of the metro that sustain) and then hope to expand to other cities from there.

I wish you all a Happy Holidays, no matter which one(s) you celebrate and a Happy New Year! Watch for the first restaurant (A) on January 1st! Or recommend one that you'd like me to add to the list...you never know...it could just show up...!

My First Time!

Hello and welcome!

This is officially my first (absolutely not my last!) blog! Now that you have started reading, my official claim is as a restaurant snob. If you talk to any of my friends, they will probably admit that I can be a bit of a "you know what" when it comes to my food choices. Some may say that I'm even a bit snobbish, but here's the reality of it, I don't really care and have named myself accordingly.

I absolutely love going out to eat, trying new places and trading my experiences with others. I'm hoping that this blog can be a rogue catalyst to others who enjoy good food as well.

I welcome all thoughts, no matter how small or large.
So there it is, my first post, not much of anything but something. Check back weekly for new and exciting restaurant reviews!
